It lias been known for some time that Sir Joseph Fayrer has been engaged in compiling the annals of his eventful life and brilliant and useful career. The announcement is now made that this work will shortly be published. It will be read with avidity, and as its distinguished author has been in the habit of making copious notes of all the important incidents of his service, the book will be a rare treat for members of the Indian Medical Service who have learned to look upon him
